About Me.

I'm Samprati, a brand & visual designer based in Potsdam, Germany.

I love work that connects to people - food branding, packaging, editorial. Anything where you can feel the culture and story behind it.

Before I design, I talk to people. Real users, readers, the people who'll actually see the work. I've learned that where the design lives - the culture, the space, print or digital - changes how people see it. Design isn't one-size-fits-all.

I care about what makes people stop. What makes them click, pick something off a shelf, remember it later. I stay curious about tools and trends, but I don't follow them blindly. Clarity and trust come first.

I work from research to final delivery. I ask questions, test ideas, and refine until it works. No question is stupid. No idea is bad until we've tried it.

If you need someone who thinks holistically and cares about getting it right - let's talk!

This is what I work on:

Brand identity & strategy

Building brand systems from positioning to visuals. Clear, consistent, and designed to scale across touchpoints.

Editorial & typeface design

Layouts grounded in grids and hierarchy. Turning research and long-form text into something readable and balanced.

Photography & visual direction

Capturing culture, food, and everyday rituals. Light, composition, and atmosphere tied to thoughtful visual thinking.

Data visualization & graphics

Making complex information clear. Infographics, posters, and visual systems that show patterns and relationships.

A few more details...

What role do you see yourself growing into?
icon

I want to grow into someone who can lead brand projects from strategy to execution. Not just making things look good, but shaping how a brand thinks and behaves.

What would make you excited to join a team?
icon

A team that values growth and trusts people with responsibility early on. I want to work with people who challenge ideas, support each other, and care about getting better, not just getting by.

Are there specific industries you're drawn to?
icon

I'm especially interested in food and food tech. Food is cultural, sensory, and personal, it connects to people in ways other industries don't. I'd love to work with brands that approach it thoughtfully.

What kind of teams do you work best with?
icon

I work well in environments where feedback is part of the process, not an afterthought. I like working with studios and teams that value craft, question decisions, and push for clarity over trend.

How do you handle critique?
icon

I take it seriously. Critique helps me see what I missed and makes the work stronger. I'd rather get honest feedback early than polite silence that leads nowhere.

What's your approach when a project doesn't have a clear brief?
icon

I start by asking questions, a lot of them. I map out what we know, what we don't, and where the gaps are. A messy brief becomes clear when you break it down.

How do you balance creative exploration with deadlines?
icon

I explore within structure. I set time to test ideas, but I also know when to commit and move forward. Good work comes from discipline, not endless iteration.

Something I live by

01

Understand first. Design second.

02

Build systems, not just visuals.

03

Culture shapes design.

04

Questions are part of the process.

05

The details are the design.

How I work

01

Listen

Understand the brand, the people, the constraints. Ask questions first.

02

Structure

Map out what needs to exist and why, before opening a file.

03

Design

The visual language grows from the structure. Identity shaped by the system.

04

Refine

Feedback is built in, not tagged on. Iterate until it holds together.

05

Deliver

Consistent, documented, built to work beyond the file.
